Friends, meet four year old Yogi. Yogi likes race cars and the Kollywood actor Vijay. He dislikes frogs. Yogi goes to school in a small town on the East Coast of Sri Lanka, where kapu has relocated for a few months. Located rurally and populated by mostly Tamils, the school is cut off from proper resources to provide its students with a decent education. Yogi’s parents reached out to kapu to assist with Yogi’s school sports fee, which the school has asked the student’s parents to fund. 40 000 LKR per student (200 AUD for sport uniform and proper equipment) which they need by this Saturday, the 16th of September. Yogi’s parents work in the kitchen of a hotel making delicious meals for mostly Israeli and European tourists who flock to the town for its natural beauty and stay for it’s it’s ‘cheap’ resources and labour (read: exploit).

This is a call for redistribution, as little as $5 AUD (1000 LKR) counts. You can send funds through the link in bio, or please message directly to donate to the family’s Sri Lankan account.
