KAPU is a project by Prinita Thevarajah. Prinita is interested in the minimalist yet transformative work in reworking a single tube of glass. In repurposing a piece of glass intended for neon work, Prinita explores the aspect of resourcefulness that is inherent in immigrant culture. An immigrant’s ability to rebuild a life after displacement is ingenious. KAPU embraces the experience of being resiliently resourceful. KAPU has been featured in LOVER and No Borders Journal and is stocked at Sounds Brooklyn.
